Hi I’m Mardi Mathers, a ceramic artist and experimenter. I’m inspired by experimentation and clay is the premier medium for it. Whether it is wood fire, Raku, or functional ware that is fired in an electric kiln, there are so many avenues to explore.
My work may be purchased at the Depot Art Gallery in Littleton, Colorado. I also participate in the Denver potters association spring sale in May, and Arapahoe Ceramics Guild sale.
My functional, useable art will brighten your kitchen and make each meal a delight to the eye as well as the palate.

At Matherville Pottery, I’m proud to create unique, handcrafted pieces .
My inspiration comes from the the wonderful mentors I’ve had including Nan McKinnell, Robin Furuta, Katie Caron and Frank Gray. I do most of my work at Arapahoe community college, not only for the fabulous resources but the inspiration.
I handcraft each piece with care and attention to detail, using techniques like pit fire, wood fire, and raku making each piece truly unique.
My collection includes a variety of ceramics, from tableware to decorative pieces. I offer a range of colors and styles, so you can find the perfect piece for your home or as a gift for someone special.
